Reasons why I like this car...

It is Composed almost entirely of OEM Japanese Honda parts (That you can't get here). It looks clean and tastefull, yet different from the rest of the Civic's you see. Its not covered in useless ricer body work. The interior is completely full of OEM Japanese Honda parts (you can't get here). It probly (although not sure) has either a B18C5, B18C or B16B engine. Mugen goodies galore. And also there was never a Civic Type R coupe released ever. That alone is a cool concept.

"JDM" has nothing to do with standing out, its about being different without being outrageous and over done. Not to mention the fact that most Japanese engines\car's have more power and better performance then there respective US counterparts.

How is that cool? It's just pretending to be something it's not. He doesn't even have the chassis code right.

Would you take the GT-R badge off of an R34?

There is no such thing as a Civic Type-R coupe. The CTR's in Japan are HATCHBACKS!!

    No shit genius,

It appears that this car was made from a front clip of a CTR (the whole front end\engine etc) Hence the reason it has EK9 badging and why it is right hand drive.

Fact still remains that there is a Civic coupe with EK9 ID plates on it.

Depends who you want to stand out to.

If you want to impress 15 year olds at the bus-stop..then no..its doesn't stand out.

To people who appreciate it, then it does stand out.

The whole JDM craze will die down in less than a year i'm guessing.

if its a civic type R it would be a b16b. but in my opinion b16b's are for people who are just blowing money out of there ass. and a mugen to make it a bit more pricey. If its a B18C5 I have respect because at least its a engine worth blowing that type of cash on.

From what I can see (OEM Honda Stuff you can't get here)

    - CTR Recaro's
    - CTR Titanium Shift Knob
    - Red stitched shift boot (I think stock R's have this)
    - CTR momo Streering wheel
    - CTR Red carpeting
    - Stanley Black housed headlights
    - CTR Guage Cluster
    - Stanley Side Markers
    - CTR folding mirrors
    - CTR 5 lug conversion (Same as US R)
    - B16B ??

You can get this stuff here but it has to be imported

    - Mugen Pedals
    - Mugen TL exhaust
    - Mugen Intake
    - Mugen Front strut brace
    - Mugen Valve Cover
    - Mugen 4-1 Header
    - Mugen MF10 wheels

    etc etc

I couldn't really give a fuck about "Being" JDM, I'm just a Honda fan. And Mugen is basically the OEM equivalent of TRD to Toyota that's why I like it. Not a big fan of too much after market stuff.
