No, but where we want their J-spec engine, they want our large displacement V8's in parallel.Originally posted by B17a
Do enthusiasts in Japan climb all over each other to be CDM or USDM???

Well, obviously you can get it here...he has the stuff, doesn't he?Originally posted by Speed_RaSiR
From what I can see (OEM Honda Stuff you can't get here)
- CTR Recaro's
- CTR Titanium Shift Knob
- Red stitched shift boot (I think stock R's have this)
- CTR momo Streering wheel
- CTR Red carpeting
- Stanley Black housed headlights
- CTR Guage Cluster
- Stanley Side Markers
- CTR folding mirrors
- CTR 5 lug conversion (Same as US R)
- B16B ??
You can get this stuff here but it has to be imported
- Mugen Pedals
- Mugen TL exhaust
- Mugen Intake
- Mugen Front strut brace
- Mugen Valve Cover
- Mugen 4-1 Header
- Mugen MF10 wheels
etc etc
I couldn't really give a fuck about "Being" JDM, I'm just a Honda fan. And Mugen is basically the OEM equivalent of TRD to Toyota that's why I like it. Not a big fan of too much after market stuff.

hehe, i can see the type-r badge thing...its like ///M badges on a 328 with swapped engine and suspension and body kit...Originally posted by Glowrider
There is no such thing as a Civic Type-R coupe. The CTR's in Japan are HATCHBACKS!!
i don't care what you ugys think...I'd still drive that in a matter of seconds.
Oh please. You act like it's so insanely hard to get a few parts from overseas. All it takes is cash. There's always someone willing to get them for you if you have the money to throw down. It's not like he was exploring the jungles of Africa and happened upon CTR parts.lets just restate it as you can't readily buy those parts off the shelf at any of your local aftermarket shops.
Atleast the 328 would be the right body and chassis.hehe, i can see the type-r badge thing...its like ///M badges on a 328 with swapped engine and suspension and body kit...

It's funny how you guys get all pissed off because a few people point out that the car you guys happen to be sweating at the moment isn't a Civic Type-R, which the owner clearly wishes it was. Apparently you guys do, too.
He needs to lose the Type-R badges and the EK9 plate, other than that, it's a nice car. I never said it was ugly. I just pointed out that it is not a Civic Type-R. It's not even the right body.

a) JDM is over kill right now, anyone with a screw in their car that touched Japanese soil thinks they're "JDM"
b) good for these JDM importers, why didn't I get into that business, they seem to be making a killing
c) nice looking car, CTR or not, if that's what he likes, good for them
