    Default Rim Frustration...

Ok, so I want rims just like everyone else...and after pissing away enough money on other mod's I think it is time. Only problem now is I cant get my hand and a decent set for a decent price anymore. I so far let 1 set of 18" BBS RS2's slip through my fingers, and the day after, a set of 19" hamann's.....I want to scream. I would have loved either of those rims.....I just wanted to vent.....GRRRR!

The point is him venting, then me adding some spice to the thread saying what rims look nice.

    CSL wheels > *

    Especially for the E36.

I like the Hamann selection myself as well as some other small name ones.

Still undecided whether I'm going 18" or 19" on my car. Any input for myself?

BTW, keep us updated with what your looking into. Got a pic of your car? Maybe one of the BMW Photoshop boys can help settle your mind.

18s are two small, 20's are too big and rub

    therefore.. 19's

Yo Chris man, get 19's. E46's definitely need 19's. Get a set of Hamann HM2 if projektz is 19".

Stay with some of the classier brands though...hamann...acs....bbs....DPE....Iforged....HRE......how bout one of the last 3?

If you really dont' want to think though, there are these new CSL reps that come in chrome shadow (not the usual kind that just about everyone and their sisters and moms have)...let me find a pic

    EDIT:

Too bad I wouldn't touch umnitza with a 50 foot pole....

Elliot I agree but I can get 18's without having to pay for them, onmy staff account at work, which lets me put the exhaust and tint on right away. I'll get them then see if I liek them, if not get my planned 19's a little later in the season.

!!!!! Right on james, with a drop 18's will look huge anyway...

I'm looking at getting CSL reps.... Not everyone has them, there are what, 2 sets in Calgary that we know of?

They might appear to be lots on say e46fanatics.com, but frankly, I see more people with HRE than CSL's reps.

Can you afford HRE, Iforged etc? I coulnt. A set of wheels without rubber is 4k+ USD. Expensive as shit.

I agree with not dealing with Um-Shitza, just a shady company. Heard way to many bad things about them.

Be careful dealing with Umnitza, those fuckers have way too many complaints .

HRE....lol.......DPE.....LOL..man I'm not loaded..I'm saving for a house (and rims...hehe) I cant afford much and these will probably only end up being on the car for a season or two. That's why I'm thinking 18's....get them and if they dont look as good as I had hoped....got for 19's in the future...I just dont want such a stiff ride that no one wants to ride in my car. *cough* Bobo *cough*

HAHA.... Umnitza for some reason likes to screw over Calgarians over and over. I've been owned by them twice. Both on big purchases (headlights).

I wasn't thinking of getting NEW HRE or DPE or Iforged....there are used ones out there (especially on E46fanatics) that go for way better pricing. Albeit, still quite pricey......but hey....BMW stands for BALLER MOTOREN Works....jk..

Yeah, that's true, there aren't too many people running CSL reps in Calgary.....but.....frankly I'm kind of sick of seeing them.....chrisWhite, at least you're dumped....18's won't look too bad

Look at used Hamann and ACS then...ACS Type III won't look too bad...although....we'd have 3 people in PT with ACS wheels then....

I've only seen one set of CSL Replica's on a E46 non M3 here in Calgary, and that was my car, before I sold it to another member on this board. Now he has it on his E36 4/M3 So CSL Rep's would be still good in Calgary here.

    EDIT: here's some pics.

Umnitza bad experience? Some of the guys on bimmer.info and bimmerforums that I have followed have had good luck. Maybe I'd be better of paying with somethign with insurance?

Anyways, Bobo's CSL's looked good on that car after, his current rims look even better.

Well I tired a PS but the lighting is so off that it turns out really bad...but my car is almost the same, just different front & rear bumper, and it's blue.
