    Default Pulleys on the LSJ

Anyone on here with either a LSJ Redline or SS? I'm going to get a 3" pulley soon and I'm just wondering if anyone has already done it (has the puller!!!). If not I'll end up ordering the puller with the pulley.

I've heard a rumor that some of the SS guys are only seeing about 8 psi of boost??? Not sure how that happened, but right now I have about 10 or almost 11 psi according to my autometer gauge.

Maybe I should have asked this first...

Anyone know if there are any other Redlines or Cobalt SS Supercharged on this board???

I can't give you the info you want, but this link might help you:

You might want to check out those forums, if you haven't already.

Thanks, but I'm already on there.

I was hoping to find a few more that were also local. Basically, if I don't need to buy the tool then great! More $$$ for other stuff like larger injectors. But, if there are others, and they want a pulley, then I would try to organize some sort of group buy or something.

Either way, I'm getting a pulley soon!

I've got an SS, but I still have zero engine mods. I'm seeing the same boost as you. It sounds like a bigger pulley won't give much for peak boost as the bypass valve opens. Could help the low end a bit though

Bypass valve??? The boost side was disconnected a long time ago!

Also, I'll be getting a smaller pulley. A bigger pulley would cause the charger to spin slower and make less boost. My pulley should be here within a couple of days and I'll be installing it this weekend hopefully. From what I've read, a pulley, CAI, and the boost bypass really helps low end torque. On the dyno, those mods usually show about a 20whp gain.

    I can't wait!!!

I meant smaller, definitely not bigger

I want to avoid disconecting my bypass valve as that means your supercharger is putting uneccessary load on your engine at idle and under light throttle. Have you noticed how much its killed your highway mileage? I'm curious as to how much of a difference it makes.

If you take a close look, there's two hoses that are connected to the bypass valve actuator. One pushes under boost and the other pulls under vacuum. So... if you just disconnect the boost side hose and plug the line that goes back to the ECU controlled solenoid, idle and cruise are completely unaffected. That's how mine is done and mileage is just fine. (well, no worse than before anyways)

    Hope that helps!
