Default Good Flower Shops In Edmonton?

OK, now that I work on the north side/downtown edge, I'm looking for another flower shop to get my girl flowers at.

Right now I go to Western Flowers on Stoney Plain - no complaints, great quality, and the roses stay alive for a couple of weeks. They are a tad bit expensive (~$35 for 6, ~$70 for 12), but with the quality (They come in a vase, not that stupid paper wrap) and the long life, I figure it's worth it.

What I'm looking for is to hopefully find another place in the northside/downtown that can give me the same quality (I think they're the 'premium' roses) in a vase (I hate that paper wrap, makes it look like they are from a gas station) at a reasonable price.

I know there's a tonne of shops around here, but are any any good? Any experiences?

best flowers are at Artworks... in Edmonton Center.

i haven't been there in awhile since i moved to Calgary so hopefully they're still there. they have the best roses and other exotic flowers. they have some prearranged stuff but the helpful staff can usually put something together within your budget.

they'll make a single rose look like $100. i recommend highly.

Panda flowers has wacked out stuff, but prepare to spend big bucks, flowers are exotic or are dyed.

I like The Rose House. I don't see the point of them lasting like 2-3 weeks... it's usually the thought the counts. But regards to the paper or vase, they all come with paper (cheapest) and you can always ask for a vase (you pay more or you pay same, get vase-less flowers). In your case, they didn't ask, they just added it to your bill.
