Default Beyond Paintball Gun Group Buy!

Hey guys, I'm trying to organize a group buy for paintball guns (Mods: I already cleared it with Kenny, don't close this one! ).

I was looking at the RAP4 (http://www.rap4.com/paintball/), and I emailed their Sales division and they confirmed that they do have group buy rates. Here's the gun and some info on it

    - Adjustable for semi or fully automatic fire
    - Shell casing ejected after each shot
    - Clip-fed 20 round magazine.
    - Low, consistent pressure operation
    - Flash-hider type muzzle break
    - Low gas consumption
    - Can be fully submerged in water without harm.
    - Velocity 250 to 450 fps (adjustable)
    - Simple to operate & easy to maintain

The RAP4 shoots .40 or .43 caliber paintballs encased in metal or plastic shells. The RAP4 automatically ejects the

shells in rapid-fire succession just like a real M4 rifle. There are two types of ammunition: metal-shelled and plastic-shelled (for environment protection the plastic shells are biodegradable).

I love how it's magazine fed, and that the paintballs come in a plastic or metal encasing that gets ejected after each shot! Haha after I read that I was sold.

The list price is $499USD, but the more people we get involved the lower that price will be.

Let me know what you guys think, or if there's a better gun/better deal out there that we should be pursing.

So, do the paintballs automatically come in metal casing or? If the price gets cheap enough, id be interested. How many people will it take to get it down to like 200 bucks?

Where does the bottle hook up?

That's the shell that encases the paintball. The shell gets ejected out the side of the gun after each shot Oh, and the plastic ones are biodegradable for all you tree huggers out there.

Yup, you can buy paintballs already in plastic or metal casings. I don't know if it'll get down to 200, but hopefully around 350. I will email them for a more detailed breakdown of what the discount with larger groups.

The bottle of CO2 goes in the stock of the gun.

You guys should check out the videos they have on that site (there's one that explains all the functions, how to assemble/disassemble, etc). They're pretty decent and give you a good idea of what the gun is like.

    Aren't most paintballs .68cal?

Why would you want to buy a gun that uses hard to find paintballs? And I dont know how plastic is biodegradable.

This is more of a war games type weapon. It's not really a paintball gun in the tradition sense.

.40 and .43 caliber paintballs shoot straighter and farther than .68 caliber ones. I think the plastic shells are made of corn starch or some derivative of it... I forget, but it's on the website.

Yeah, the RAP4 is on warheads. They list it as the T16 M4 @ $700.

If anyone is interested shoot me a PM. I will be contancting the vendor again today to try to get more detailed pricing.

I'm down if we get enough people to drop that price way down. $200 sounds like a good price to aim for.

The guy got back to me and said that we could get 30% off with a fair sized group buy. So that'd knock the price down from $500USD to $350USD. I don't think it'll get down to $200CDN (that's like 70% off the list price!) though...

So PM or post if you're interested.

you're not gonna buy one anyways so why do you care? $200 gets you a weak ass gun from crappy tire, so this one for $350US is a steal... you can put me down for one for sure

I think instead of doing this you all should look at ions, I was on a scenerio woodsball team, It was good, but speedball is much better, get a Smart Parts Ion,

    Smartparts Ion
    68ci 300psi, tank,
    halob hopper,
    eclipse QEV
    Firebolt
and a aftermarket board, they shoot more than 20 balls per second....

for 500-700 dollars haveing a gun that will inialate all or would u rather have a gun that will "eject shells like a real m14"haha I would rather have the Ion.
