Default Working for Critical Mass - Accounting/Finance?

I'm looking for general opinions of Critical Mass more specific to working for the accounting/finance department? This could be anything from environment/people to salary expectations.

I heard they don't treat their employees very well but I could be wrong, I used to have a friend that worked at CM and she didn't like it too much - dropped the job and the money for a better working environment and less money. I guess it's just a difference of opinion. I know SuperESC works there and he probably likes it just fine huh, bling bling haha.

I heard that if you aren't a developer, they treat you well... otherwise it is a sweat shop... but that was from a few years ago.

A guy that just started at my place used to work at Critical Mass and had nothing but bad things to say about the place.

    He was a BA though.

It's not bad. CM is just a bunch of dedicated ppl that want to deliver best. At times...yes...it does feel like a sweat shop....but then again...so is dishwashing.

And the breakfast isn't "Free" it's $25 a month off your paycheck. But it's nice though, no need to get up early to eat breakfast so you can last till lunch. Gives me half an hour more of sleep too.

Like most businesses you will find people that love it or hate it. The person I know really likes it there. From what he told me there are high expectations on the employees there. Some people don't like that...some people get bitchy when there is accountability. There is a reason why they are as successful as they are but for the people that work hard, they do very well.

Exactly. When you're working for big clients like Rolex, they're not dumping millions to get shitty website in return. The expectations are very high.

I have a very good friend that used to work there. He was there from startup. It used to be a very bad company to work for. One many of them have left including one of the people that started the company (i think that's how it goes). But from what I hear , it has improved a lot since then.

Im working at CM now.. and its one of the best places I ever worked at.

Its ranked one of the best places to work for in Calgary at the moment.

And they definately treat their employees good here. I have no idea what some of you guys are talking about.
