.eps is used (and is native too) for Macromedia Freehand and/or Adobe Illustrator. Why do you want to convert your Microsoft Word document into an editable vector graphic?
Peter
Do you want your Word document to open in/with Adobe Acrobat reader (.pdf)?
heres the problem I am having, I have a document done in a special font, I need to send it to somebody else over PC and they are requesting that it is in .eps format since they do not have the font needed to view the document in word. This text after being converted into .eps will then be put onto a different background and have some other stuff done to it.
is it possible to do though? if you do know the process could you PLEASE explain
I converted the document to .pdf but it won't work for the other party since they do not have the font, the text is all wrong then.
this is the first time that I have had to do this so I am really clueless about what has to be done
Render the Word Document into a .pdf file. That way your friend will be able to open the file in an Adobe product and edit it from there.
EG:
You render/print to .pdf via. Adobe Acrobat 5.0
You then send the file to your friend who is wishing to edit whatever you are wanting to edit.
From there, you tell your friend to open the program in Adobe Illustrator -- in turn allowing him to edit whatever you created on your computer.
If you really want to get into this -- take that text, copy it, open Macromedia Freehand or Adobe Illustrator and select the "text" tool, press paste, then save as an "Editable EPS".
Voila.
thanks
Give that a try -- if it works, great -- if not -- well -- I may just have to come over and do it myself!! lol j/k
