    Default Small business accountant

Anyone know a good small business accountant?

I can do the bulk of the bookeeping myself, just need an experienced accountant who will be more of a consultant for tax advice, accounting best practices, etc.

I know some beyonders own small businesses, so recommend the best you got

btw. my company is in the tech sector and aiming to incorporate in ~nov-jan

Great guy and has been taking care of my family's personal/business tax for the past 6-7 years.

PricewaterhouseCoopers has some killer small business. We do business advisory, and many of our clients are private businesses that do go public and we do it the right way. And on top of that, we don't charge an arm and a leg.

Don't rely on unknown small businesses that don't have as much experience doing stuff like this. This is a serious matter and should be dealt with by professionals.

ask the receptionist to speak with someone from the small business group and they'll direct your call. You have nothing to lose to do a consultation meeting.

Thats really good news actually, I always figured PwC would be insanely expensive.

Would you know the billing rate range by any chance?

    Thanks

She did our taxes at Signetix this year and I was very happy with her. Very reasonable rates too.

Go look for a local CA firm in Calgary, they will be your best bet and most affordable. The big 4 will charge you an arm and a leg.

really, it depends on what you'd like them to do, but I don't know the billing rates. I'm sure they're more flexible in the small business area versus an audit of a multi billion dollar corporation.

But if you really do want the best and the most accurate tax advice and you want to incorporate, I'd trust them to do it right.

Give them a shout, see what/where it gets you.
