3800k
5000K would be my choice, I have 6000K and love them, but I wish I had found 5000K when i was in the market for a set!!!
any more?
5000
I'd have to say that 6000K are the most popular IMO, however I do have them as well but will be switching to a 4300K set soon b/c their a Hi/Low set
4300-4500K is brightest, any higher u r just getting more blue and less light on the road.
5000K is the max i'll probably go.
And please please please...retrofit.
4300K (or similar)
The rest aren't really upgrades - light output is poor, in some cases worse than halogen. I've had 8000k, 6000k, and 4300k. I couldn't see anything with the 6000k and 8000k.
12000K mang
Brown.
I have 8000k on my teg fuckin looks sexy!!!!

4300 K. Do it right the first time.
4300k are the way to go. 5000k is still ok though. I'm pretty sure that anything higher then that is actually illegal as it scatters too easily (too much glare).
And if you get them, make sure that it's a proper HID installation, with proper optics, not some cheap-ass H4 conversion. Nothing I hate more then driving in front of somebody with these damn 10000k HIDs shining right into my face, and blinding all oncoming traffic.

I had 6000k on my civic and it was plenty bright. I can't see how anyone could think its not brighter than a regular halogen. I could see street signs lighting up for 6 blocks. I think i pissed off a lot of oncoming traffic though cause they weren't aimed down.
Now i just have the factory HID's and i'm not sure what temp they come in.
color temp has nothing to do with light scatter.Originally posted by Annoyingrob

Untrue. Color temp has EVERYTHING to do with light scatter. The shorter the wavelength of the light, the easier it will scatter off things like water vapor in the air. Why do you think fog lights are usually yellow?Originally posted by Police
