    Default Shaw Bandwidth Overages?

My current internet service provider is charging my $5 per gig over my 80 gig limit.

Im paying nearly 80 dollars a month with Nucleus were I could go to shaw and get the extreme high speed for 50 bucks I can get the same internet speed with a 100gb limit.

What does shaw charge for bandwith overages?

shaw won't charge you for exceeding ur bandwidth. And they won't really bother you unless you go way over the limit

i spoke with reps at shaw and telus, they both told me that basically, unless you're in the top 10 in alberta for bandwidth usage, they dont really care.

It's not the size that matters, it's the taste it leaves in your mouth.

Last I checked Shaw's limit was 25GB combined up/down, but as everybody said, you won't get dinged for going over.

25GB is for lite. Top package is extreme and it allows 100GB.

You get warnings and may be cut off a few days on repeated violations (like 5 straight months of 200GB downloads)

Shaw really doesn't give a shit. I AVERAGE about 90 gb down every month and the last call I got was about a year and a half ago. But then again, I only upload about 2 gigs every month, if that, so I'm waaaaay off their radar.

I do have a friend that works there tho, and he said that the #1 guy they keep calling does a couple of TERABYTES of transfers every month. So I wouldn't worry unless you're a superhub for LimeWire :P

In the past, you only would get a Shaw badnwidth monitor on their secure.shaw.ca page if you've been previously warned about bandwidth usage.
