Default Good leather conditioner for black seats?

I want to clean my seats. The drivers side has very minor fading on the bolster and i'm looking for a black conditioner to cover that up.

Can anyone recommend a good leather conditioner for black seats? I would prefer locally available stuff as I dont want to wait 2 weeks to get it.

    What do you detailers use?

I really like Meguiar's Gold Class leather cleaner and conditioner. It's avalable at Canadian tire for $12.99. If I remember correctly the part number is 39-0444???

Spray it onto a towel, spread the product. Wait a few mins and buff the leather with a clean towel.

"It's true that saddle soap has been used for years as a softener, but this is definitely not the product for your car seats. Saddle soap is actually a combination of oil and soap. Furthermore, it's an alkaline product (all soap is, I believe) and alkaline is not good for leather. It causes greying, discoloration or staining of light coloured leathers, loss of tanning agents, cracking of the grain surface and other signs of deterioration. Many detailing experts suggest that saddle soap actually embeds dirt into the leather.

So forget saddle soap. You have lots of modern, effective, alternatives from which to choose.

As you might expect, there are a vast number of automotive leather treatment products on the market, but only a few are regularly recommended as genuinely superior. For the extreme-detailing crowd, Lexol is one of the products of choice.

Actually, there are two Lexol products for leather -- a cleaner and a conditioner. "

You can also get Lexol at Canadian Tire but you have to order it.

I use watered down Woolite for cleaning and Lexol for conditioning. both available locally. You can get Lexol at Lammle's.

is gold class the one with the fruity smell? i don't know... feels like i'm spilling juice on the seat... not saying it's a bad product though

The Wipes smell more like Meguiar's Natural shine and also a little bit like ScratchX. It does smell sort of fruity. Also if you want the best of the Meguiar's Leather products you can order a separate aloe cleaner and conditioner at crappy tire. ( wow i have the order catalogue memorized)

Thanks guys, but i've seen considerable damage done by Lexol and i'm not interested in using that. It tends to really dry out the seat in the long run.

I clean leather with steam, which opens up the poors and removes any buildup. I used to condition with Lexol, but I usually use Poorboy's Leather Stuff now. I'd use it if it was three times the price.
