$80 at Mr. Lube, but can I do this myself w/ chamicals from canadian tire?
I've heard ppl talk about damaging the rings and coating on the pistons etc, but I don't know if there's any truth to it.
problem: carbon layer in TB and further.
Thanks

you can get carburator cleaner in a spray can that will work
chances are a fuel system flush WONT clean up carbon deposits in the TB...
or you could just remove the intake and clean and polish it for best results(not that hard with a dremel and a couple of hours)
Are you trying to clean your injectors or your throttle body and intake? There are cleaners you can get for both of those things but they're different and I'm guessing the Mr Lube flush is for your injectors?

man... they are always trying to sell that fuel injector cleaner at mr lube... took my gf's car there once and this 15 year old kid shows me the air filter. he said "you see all of this dirt on your air filter? the reason it's dirty is because your fuel injectors are dirty.."
lol reminds me of when i worked at minit lube, always trying to sell that stuff to people, some it works, most of it doesnt.Originally posted by littledan

hey ekliptix i can get you a throttle body aerosol for free, just PM me and i can pick it up for you.
Fuel injection flush can be good can be bad. The best thing you can do is to clean up the carbon in the TB is tooth brush and carb cleaner. For the valves best thing is water injected under load. Will clean that baby up spotless.
