Default Engine Runs sputters, misses, dies then Ok

I have a 92 hyundia Scoupe. The engine will run fine, start okay, ideal okay then will start missing running rough smooth out for a short while but continue to get worse till with a full peddle bearly make idel. The first time this occured I thought I had some bad fuel or injector problems. I filled the tank and added some STP fuel treatment and after a day or so it went away. Now about a month later it has come back. The real buggy thing is after the car sits for a few hours it is fine. I'm not over heating. It goes in spurts it will run fine for 60 miles ( usually the most I drive at a time) but the next trip even a ten minute one it will be back. Any ideas. Could it be electrical. The cars been starting fine but alternator light has come on a few time though not during these problems?

well if fuel injector cleaner worked the first time, why not use it again?

Sounds like a tune up might do you well....
    Hows about starting with.... Hmmm
    Oil Change.
    Spark plug change.
    Spark plug wire change.
    Distributor cap change.
    PCV valve change.
    Air filter change.
Maybe clean out that carb with some cleaner (if you are carbed)
Then run some cleaner through those injectors.

if its a faulty sensor, a code should be generated...have u noticed the CEL come on? even if u havent, u should try pulling the codes.

Yeah a dying fuel pump could the be the deal, i had that sorta hapen to my car, also a deadish alternator can do that too.. but you would notice ALL of the electricall going on and off and such...
and fuel pump would be more like you lose power and if you floor it it still doesnt do anything....

    hope it helps
