does anyone use Skypeout?

im planning to purchase the skypeout thing because my parents work in china and it is so expensive to call with cell phones. does anyone have any experience with the skypeout?
it says on the site that the rate is 0.024/minutes, that is pretty attractive..

I used skypeout this summer from Hawaii to Calgary (When it was 100% free within Can/USA). It takes a little bit of fine tuning but works just fine otherwise.

I think 000 000 0000 came up on the caller ID when I tested it here

Skype works nicely to call landlines
but if your internet speed isnt up to par you'll hear some feedback
the best would be if they got Skype as well since Skype to Skype is free

I use Skype all the time , talk to my friends back in Canada for hours... But if its your parents, just get them to download Skype and your set!

if u have hi-speed broadband on both sides, skype will be good enough, provided that ur parents are IT-savvy. i skype with my aunt pretty often, and we both have webcam, but still with the video streaming, everything is still pretty smooth!

I use Skype as well to keep in contact with my brother in Germany, works great from mac to mac, and he also has it on his Nokia E61 so when he has a wifi signal he can make free calls to me as well.

I use it almost everyday, I'm not sure if they still have it but at the begining of the year there was a deal where it was 20 dollars or something for unlimited calling out to Canada and the US for a year.

I've got Skypeout and I find it to be good (plus it's CHEAP --> $15USD/year). Mind you I only call people in NorthAmerica, so I'm not so sure about the quality overseas. Ive had a few dropped calls but that was when I was downloading at the sametime. My friend in Europe calls her parents here in Calgary with Skypeout and she says it's ok.
