this was brought up on another forum, and i was amazed by the number of people who have the attitude of "its the cleanest part of my body, so i don't have to"

aside from personal hygine, i just think its common courtesy, if i go to shake someones hand its nice to think that they weren't just handling their dick, maybe its just me

yep always do. Its not just because you just took a piss, but throughout the average day you will be handling lots of stuff and accumulating bacteria on your hands. Good hygiene involves washing your hands several times a day, whether you just took a piss, or a shit, or whatever.

I'll be honest, it was only after reading a lot of articles dealing with virus and bacteria growth, along with some biology courses that I really started "giving a shit" about it.

Now I'm that guy that throws the paper-towel on the floor by the door because I use it to open the door first.

The doctor told me not to lift anything heavy cause my back is screwed so why would I need to wash after? I just hang er out, flop it back and forth and hope to god that on the last little fling it ends up back where it came from! Zip up and off I go!

As far as handwashing goes, I'm pretty OCD in that respect. I carry sanitizer with me in the car and sanitize or wash my hands at least 10 times/day.

Actually you are very right, people are dirty! What about handling money? That stuff is full of bacteria! I am very picky when it comes to handshaking and touching door knobs etc. Now you got me wanting to go out and buy a bottle of cleaner to carry with me!

but it's quite disgusting how dirty everything is. places that you wouldn't normally take precautions around... like seatbelts, elevator buttons, door handles, money..

seltbelts.. especially on airplanes. Kind of makes you rethink hygiene.

On a side note, I used to work at a grocery store, and every now and then I went to take a piss in the non-employee washrooms. (its closer)
