Default FS: night vision security cameras

I have two night vision security cameras with 30 infrared led's in each. They come with adapters and are brand new. I purchased them in a kit of 4 cameras and a recording card but I only need 2 cameras so i'd like to sell the other 2. Perfect for monitoring your car. I've noticed they retail locally for about $199 each. Will sell both for $150.

The LEDS are IR Emmitters and they allow the camera to capture images in the dark.

So I am going to ask since I do not know anything about this product.....

If you kept the recording card, what good are they on there own? I might be interested but want to know what else I might have to do after I get my hands on some camera's.

You're not the only person to ask this. Basically all you need is a recording device that accepts a composite input (yellow cord).. which is basically anything, for example: vcr, dvd recorder, tv tuner card for computer, dvr...etc...etc.

    Interested.

What is the range on them? Like how far can they be away from say a car to capture the images and how clear are the images? Bsically do these camera's have some sort of zoom feature?

I have problems with a couple of punks and would like to mount these in a room in the house and have them point out the window. My sisters car will be about 20-25ft from teh window to the street. Will it able to capture and provide a clear image?

It can capture and provide clear image. I use mine about 30 feet from the car. I wouldn't suggest putting it inside the window, because the IR led's at night get reflection from the glass on the window and washes out the picture for the camera. Best to place outside in clear view.

So these camera's are weather proof for the outside?

I was gonna huck it in the spare bedroom that no one ever goes in and just close the door and turn off the lights. hopefully not too much reflection from that. Using a camcorder right now.

They have rubber around all the openings, so I assume they're weather proof. I use mine outside and it doesn't have any problems with rain or snow. Like I said though, if you put it behind glass the camera will pick up glare from the window at night when the IR turns on for night vision. Put it outside the window.
