Line level converter (LOC) VS. speaker level input

Hey i'm trying to wire up a sub and amp to my stock HU, as you may expect it does not have rca pre outs. Question is that i have the speaker level input on my amp (alpine), should i use that or should i go for a line level converter and use RCA's?

What are the pros and cons? do i sacrifice lots of sounds (bass and quality) by going the speaker level input route? I can get a converter but its non-adjustable, is that fine?

use the one on teh amp, it might also have a sensor to turn on the amp so u dont have to go searching for a remote turn on wire from ur stock HU

quality wise ur still probably better off going with the amp speaker level inputs, but it will essentially do the same thing as using an external line level converter

Unless you're 100% set on keeping your stock radio. Upgrade to an A/M deck. There will be a decent difference in SQ.
