Anyone here hiked/walked Akamina Parkway to Wall Lake Trail and Forum Falls

We are planning for a to do a day hike/walk of Akamina Parkway to Wall Lake Trail and/or Forum Falls. How is the terrain there? Do we need hiking shoes for this or would regular sneakers do? I'm just looking for some feedback because we are just novices in hiking.

It's easy, basically like a viewless fire road. If you don't have hiking shoes, it's definitely not worth buying them for this, unless you intended to go up to Akamina Ridge and make it into a loop trip. Wall Lake is a more scenic destination than Forum Falls & Forum Lake.
