Year End BBQ

Where: Westerner Grounds in Red Deer
When: August 30, 2003 @ 12:00PM
What: Meeting in Red Deer, then a cruise to Sylvan Lake
Who: Car Enthusiasts across the province
Why: Why not? =)

We are currently looking to hold a year end BBQ with the guys at V8Less up in Edmonton. The location we have decided on is Red Deer as it is central to both cities, so we can have a large turnout from both clubs.

The tentative date for the meet is Saturday, August 30th and we will be meeting up at the Westerner Grounds.

The plan is to have a BBQ, take some photos of all the cars, meet up and chat with the folks up in Edmonton, share stories, etc etc and of course some sort of competitive event where we can do some Calgary (Beyond) versus Edmonton (780tuners) stuff haha.

Any ideas on events? Baseball game? Soccer? tug of war (with the cars or people?). Lets hear it!

We could even turn this into some sort of show and shine event.

have engine building contests (or something similar)

teams start off with the same car/engine/suspension disassembled and are timed to see who can put the car/engine/suspension back together the fastest & do a small slalom & make it through

this is an awesome idea...

another thing we could do to make this meet even bigger is to invite all the car clubs in the alberta area....like all the car specific forums like svtoa, dc5ab, dorikaze, etc..

Hmm a water figh could be fun actually, if it's a nice day. I vote for basketball as well. Or hell lets break out the old school and play some tag and duck duck goose. I'm in for this event...this time bring tongs...watching rage and kenny with plastic spoons on the BBQ last year was hilarious.
