    Update: Just found it:

    Julio Bario's

We went to the West End Location in Edmonton.

It looks like a typical Red Robins/Milesones/Joey Tomatoes type Mexican wanna be restaurant. So we weren't expecting much when we went in.

But the chicken burritos had fresh soft flour torillas, not premade crap. The server had a hard spanish accent, as did the cooks. I was surprised at how good the food was.

That being said..I haven't tried the Kensington Location yet. So no promises.

I have yet to eat Mexican food in Calgary i'd consider good.

i've eaten at some crappy run down taco stands in California ran by "real mexicans" that blew away any mexican food i've eaten in Calgary so far.

yeah.. I agree. I have been to many dumps that had fantastic Mexican food, they are all over the states.

I would be interested in knowing what the place is in Red Deer, we go there lots.

I would reccomend staying away from these.

First time my wife and I went, I ordered the burritos. they taste great, but my 4th or 5th bite, i ended up biting into a pice of a dish cloth....

Second time, few months later, got the burritos again, and in my second to last bite, ended up with a twist tie in my mouth.

we will not be going back.
