Why does apple boast "the worlds fastest computer"? Whats so special about them that allows for more speed?

If I were a supercomputer manufacturer, I'd sue them for that claim.Originally posted by Weapon_R

Drag racing is for fast cars. Solo 2 is for fast drivers.
Mcs use RISK-based processors, which is a different type of processor from PCs. Usually you'll see Intel AMD with the higher Ghz number, but the Macs can do many more processes with a "slower" processor because of RISK. That's why all serious grphics designers and animators use Macs over PCs.Originally posted by Weapon_R

Shouldn't that ben RISC (Reduced Instruction Set Computer)? Not that I know anything about Mac's anyways...
Here's an article if y'all are interested:

I'm not going to explain why because it'll take a long time and I'll have to write a bunch of crap and I'm lazy.Originally posted by accordboi_02

But you are both right and wrong in your statement. If you have the time to read the article, you'll understand why. But basically, it's not because of RISC that motorola processors do more at the same clock speed as a x86 processor and this doesn't happen in all cases.
