    Default My secret street results

Well the night started at 15.9 as I spun out in 1st, 2nd, 3rd. Realizing then I should modulate the throttle at the start the next time as well as avoid the water hole. Next run was a 14.0 and I missed 4th gears. I beat every race except a SVT cobra it was very close till I blew 4th gear again. So I was trying to dial in my launch as best as possible and shift to 4th a bit slower as there seemed to be something kinda wrong.

    My best run was a 13.6 @101.4mph, .972 RT, 2.4 60'.

I can get to 13.5's and lower no problem. I need to finesse my RT's as most were 900-1100. My best 60' was 2.146 so there is room there as well, my top MPH was 106.98MPH.

My last run of the night also ended the life of my clutch. The clutch wa the only thing I cheaped out on my car becasue someone dumb gave me a tip to use a Centerforce maxima dual friction clutch, what a waste. But I still had a lot of fun, a lot of my friends were there, a lot of beyonders were there and I met "347" there too so that was cool.

Cocobrova and an entourage of beyonders escorted my car home to safety and I can tell you this Coco has some madd no clutch driving skills like no other. Blown clutch and all I still had a great time at SS, and had great support from the beyond members.

    Thanks guys!

After looking at my time slips no one beat me. I even beat the SVT Cobra, I thought I lost as he beat me to the finish but I beat him in the 1/4 mile according to the slips. Hahah all this time I thought I lost to him.

It's actually the time that counts not the first man to cross the line.
r/t doesn't count toward your total time.

well in 'organized' drag racing I think its just whoever crosses the line first wins, even if your 1/4 mile time is slower.

Technically the focus still beat you, or technically you beat the focus. doesn't matter, your car is freakin fast !

I pre-talked to a race inspector, he gave me a 1 night free pass, now I have to hook up the switch. Probly will put it in durring the new clutch.

Yea I think it's a grey area on who interprates it I guess. I once thought that who crossed the line first won, but then others told me otherwise. I guess I see it like this I lost the race but did not get beaten by the stang, if that makes any sence.

    Pretty good slip A..
Did you reface your flywheel with your clutch? I am fan of the kevlar clutches, but I run a C/F in my truck and it takes the abuse, in fact it takes a lot of abuse(500+ft/lbs)..
The surface finish is really important, I usually run an orbital sander with 60 grit over the flywheel before installing the clutch to aid in break in..
So what was the story with the rear switch? I am still adament that I am not going to do that to my car, so they let you run once?

I gotta get my car done, so I can come and run with you at the track ....Maxt
