    $ .99 for BR30

really good deal, hard to find stock, but end up walking into MACKENZIE location and grabbed 12 soft white and 12 daywhite for the garage , they get them daily, but those fly off the shelve and almost always shows out on stock online.

Yes, I bought some Philips 60w dimmable bulbs from HomeDepot for .99 each.

Does anyone carry LED quartz bulb replacements? (300w type J / 118mm)

Which model is that? I picked up 4 of the Philips 3000k par 20s today to test them before converting the house,. Not sure if I like them yet.

A lot of places are running out of stock of the cheaper bulbs. One co-op sold an entire pallet of the fifty cent bulbs, and the other I went to was nearly out. Bought myself 24 bulbs, which will last me a long time.

Still may buy some "nicer" ones for my main floor, but maybe not. Would need to be daylight and not warm white.

Thanks for the heads up on Philips homedepot clearance.

99 cents for a 3000K 5 watt dimmable PAR20 with clear plastic and it got some weight to it too.

I prefer Luminus 3000k bright white PAR20 vs the Philips bright white personally.

Found something new out about the efficiency program while purchasing LEDs from Costco and HD today. Went and cleaned HD out of their $0.99 PAR20 50W 3000k bulbs today, and then grabbed some A19 60W 3000k dimmables ($1.75/bulb) and A21 100W 3000k dimmables ($4.66/bulb). Costco blew HD out of the water on the A19 prices for equivalent bulbs.

On my HD receipt, the bulbs showed up as $0.99 and I paid tax on the post-rebate amount only.

At Costco, my bulbs came to $223.74, so i was expecting $11.19 in tax.... yet I was charged $17.69.... the difference being the GST on the $130 rebate. I asked about it and they told me as much as they disagree with it, it is how the program is structured.

"How is GST applied to price of a product in the program?
Under the Government of Canada rules, the GST is applied to the pre-rebate price and not the cost of the product after the rebate has been applied."

Poor HD is going to be in for a shock when they figure this one out....

So that's what, 30 cents a bulb out of a $6 bulb that probably costs $3? HD will do fine.

I don't know how POS are set regionally or nationally. Ontario Hydro had these rebates forever now, you thought they would learn from that already.

I've been working in one of mid to higher end hotels downtown, hotel guests are stealing the LED bulbs from the fixtures in the rooms. .
They are going through boxes of them, one more thing the chamber maids have to count.

Beacon hill ctire has A type 60w equivalents on for 99c.

Not sure if it's a flyer special, took a quick browse over the weekly flyer but didn't see them (might have missed) and I didn't check their spring flyers so not sure if it's a location specific special.

People can pay to install these cheap bulbs or the Alberta Energy Efficiency program can install these for free among other things. Has anyone actually gotten a call from them yet?

I signed up the first day it was possible and have yet to be contacted. Their website relays that a call would be received in early April, so I decided to get in on the discounts on bulbs that are available until June 11, as I have a feeling their term may be up by the time they get their shit together.

May be the only location that has them. Grabbed a few 3/$3boxes while there yesterday. Checked the Richmond Road location today to get more and they didn't have them.

I gave up hope on the Alberta Energy Efficiency program coming with the freebies.

Reno Depot also has 60/40W equivalent LEDs for 99c each from the government subsidy.
