Cuz I'm bored man.
You'll have to figure out the percentages yourself.

perfect...just what I needed...
....interesting.....
So where are you :P
Wow, if I made what I do now back in 2005, I'd be in the top 15%... that kind of seems sad since I don't consider myself to make all THAT much.

Really? That seems... really low.
They must have all the 16 year olds working part time jobs and people in college as well, though. Really makes you feel better about what you make though
Median income 25,400? Haha it sure does make me feel better, thats $13/hr.
Too bad the cost of living evens that out in Calgary...
its not even 13.. usually you can double the per hour and add a couple.. 13x2 = 26, add a couple, works out to about 28k a yr..
$26/hr is approx 49k a year (gross income)
^ 26 x 40 x 52

That's a more believable list, Calgary ranks 3rd in the country there, behind only two Ontario citiesOriginally posted by calgarygts

Yeah, but that's total family income, not per person as the first list is.
Yeah that 75,400 is much more believable for a Calgary family. Only thing is depending on what your family type is, it can be artifically inflated or deflated, since a census family can be anything from single parent to DINK's. It obviously isn't applicable to single people with no kids since they don't classify as families.Originally posted by calgarygts

I honestly can't believe $75,400 is the median income. I know of far, far too many Edmontonians who make very close to that on their own let alone with a partner.Originally posted by Orbie

I know the numbers are brought down by families who only have one working parent, however it just doesn't seem realistic with the high wages earned by people today.
Alberta has such clouded view of "the real world"... Do you know how many poor people are out there and low income earners.. Most of the country....
good info there
Okay I heard that 20% of calgarians are millionaires can anyone find that info from stats can publications?
I highly doubt that number. I am pretty sure Calgary does have the most millionaries per capita in Canada, but 1 in 5 people being millionaires?
Actually last I heard fort st. john was number one for millionaires per capita. That was last year though, maybe not anymore.Originally posted by Euro_Trash
