for HDMI, I think it's hard to beat monoprice.com's prices. I pick up 2 hdmi 6' cables for $11.xx shipped.

for HDmI your xbox needs to support HDMI (elite) for component, you can get 3rd party stuff at any store for a reasonable price, and it's all essentially the same, however if your display accepts it, i'd suggest using VGA over component, it's just better PQ with regards to the 360.

Are you referring to HDMI cables for the XBOX 360 or just generic HDMI cables?

Just to clarify, I have both an Xbox and an Xbox 360.
Right now my Xbox connects to my TV via RCA cables, so I want to get the component cable adapter instead.

For the Xbox 360, I heard there are some HDMI cables available, so I figured I'd just throw that out there to see..

the xbox 360 can only do HDMI if you have a system with the HDMI output... right now that's only the elite version.

Given your situation i'd suggest VGA cable for your 360 if your tv has an input for it. These can be had at walmart for ~$25 for a cheapie
