Dpi?
Hey guys, I'm entering a contest type thingy and it says my pictures have to have around 300 DPI, but I don't have photoshop or anything so I can't tell what the DPI is. I have my pictures on the least compressive JPG setting, but i did have to do some size editing so it isn't the original that I'm submitting. Can anyone give me a program or something that will tell me?
Thanks

Does it give you a dimension along with the DPI? Just the DPI doesn't mean anything.
-
Yeah, DPI means how many dots per inch, but you need to know how many inches you're working with.
-
The recommended dimensions are 675 X 563, but you can enlarge or shrink it. As an example, one of my pictures are at 1618 X 1496.

just use 675 X 563 as your guideline then. The DPI is irrelevant unless they gave you dimensions in inches or cm.
Note: if you really want to see what dpi your images are set at, you can look at the file properties, under summary > advanced.

Perfect, they're at 300 DPI exactly. Thanks a lot.
