My track car is good for 0-100 in about 2 1/2 seconds (if I can get traction, and that's a bigggggggg if); the fastest I've been on Deerfoot has been 115. I don't feel the need to try to hurt myself; anything that fast can bite you in the ass just as quickly.

But to understand this not only would you need a fast car, but also some level of maturity, which you (and others in this thread) clearly lack.

Zahir and his crew give all exotic owners a bad name.

    Crush those exotics

If this was a couple imports they would have been crushed awhile back for street racing.

Its funny that the city will get their panties in a knot about street-racing and exessive speeding, while they're currently trying to pull the lease out from under Race-city and the RM of rockyview has flatly refused to lease any land for another motorsports facility. Kind of ironic.

Exactly... its funny how people opinions change cause the cars in questions are exotics not rice rockets.

Rana told CBC News Tuesday that the video was faked.
    and

Rana, who refused to comment specifically about the video because it's under investigation, said the film is fiction and no more than a marketing tool.
Does he actually think everyones that stupid.

kinda funny......but if you have that car wouldn't you be tempted to full throttle it ?

don't be haters for the people who can afford the exotics. Highway is better than the city limits.

i'll just wait for the outcome of the investigation........sweet 339 km/h ....... now thats speed.....

I detest how the media glorifies and stretches truth in order to grab attention of society.

Nobody was "arrested." They were detained for questioning. BIG difference. It states in the report that "no charges have been laid."

thats why i bought a golf instead of a lambo - it doesn't stand out as much, then going over 200 isn't as noticeable to the public eye, and besides, there are tons of golfs in AB, gl finding the right one ahah

I was thinking the same thing when reading the articles on this subject too.

So what legal ground can the cops charge Zahir using that video? It isn't even recorded on the date of the complaints. It was filmed in October.

you my friend need to grow a pair, driving fast is alot of fun, regardless of the risk - and im sure its not just me who feels the need to drive fast more than once a week at race city. Also i find it ironic that your name is 2EFNFAST ... not that this is a personal attack or anthing, i just think you really dont understand what a fast car is all about - even Enzo Ferrari said he detested his customers because they wouldnt buy and use the cars to the limits of their performance ...

I believe that when it comes to charges of this nature (dangerous driving), etc. it is then up to the registered owner of the vehicle to prove that they were not behind the wheel....vs. lesser charges where they have to catch you in the act.

Even if Zahir is charged, he'll show up with some high priced lawyer who will just make a mockery of the whole situation anyways.

Most of the news on the radio comes from reading the papers. So they probably saw the CBC headline about them getting arrested.
