Oops thought you meant summer classes.
not sure about fall, usually its the second week of september
just looked it up, july 8th for undergrad (earlier if you have block courses)
If you are in a different faculty try here http://www.ucalgary.ca/pubs/calendar...When/index.htm
Not to thread jack but: What is a block course? I know simple question but I would like to know, lol. Thanks.
Not exactly sure but sometimes you are required to do a block course. For me, it was a 2 day thing before classes start.
Listened to some safety lectures for 8 hours a day, then took a test on it.
May be different for other courses though.
They are a week long, 8 hour course that you take that is equivalent to a regular course. Basically just to get your creditsOriginally posted by rsxrsx

Are you sure that's what it is? I haven't taken any, but I was under the impression block week courses are week long courses that prepare you for semester long courses. They're not required, and some don't even give you credit, but for a lot of the harder courses, they're recommended in preperation and review for what you're to expect in the class they're recommended for. Atleast, in CPSC I think that's what they are.

Thanks guys for your answers
Too bad they don't have the listings up for engg block courses cause I mean if they are offering Engg 005, I know I would take it for sure. Even if it is basic stuff, it still probably serves as a good review class.
No, Engg 005 is useless... Basically you just get your computer login/pass a couple days ahead of everyone else who doesn't take 005.

Yep, I learned nothing. Couldn't if I wanted to cause the lady doesn't speak english. If she's your prof, run to another lecture, I recommend Paul Alves.
I think the first day of regular classes is sept 8th, and block week starts the first week of september or something..
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.”
