So, after all the hype about function form, I decided to go with it.
heres the quick review about em
fronts: cake. they were in and out, adjusting them were easy and there were no problems.
rears: heres the problem...
in this picture, you can see both F2 shock and spring in place. USUALLY, if you leave 3-4 threads left on it, you could get a nice 1 finger gap or a little more tucked. in this case, when we put the wheel on.. the gap was actually BIGGER than stock. stock = 2 1/2 fingers.. with the set up you see here = 3 1/2 fingers and almost 4. What's the deal? the spring is smaller than stock, the shock is smaller than stock.. i don't understand why it'd be BIGGER.
so what we decided to do was take that whole perch out, and let the spring sit on the rubber mounts (both top and bottom), sorta like how stock springs sit, we put the wheel on and it's slammed like no tomorrow.
so heres pics of the negative camber in the back, its ridiculous but i kinda like it.
there is no finger gap, you gotta stick your finger in and then bend it to touch the top of the tire.
so my question is... maybe those with F2 coils, or anyone with some insight... why is it that, even with the rear coilover at the LOWEST setting, gives a ride height which is higher than stock even though everything (spring and shock) is shorter than stock. How do I adjust it WITH the perch to make a lower setting? it doesn't make sense.
is it bad to ride with such negative camber and on such a low height? I know the shocks will be fine because the shocks are meant to handle heights like this.
any help would be appreciated!
