I hafta get new tires soon and since winter is coming up. Should I get all seasons or winter tires?
That is the beauty of being an independant person, the choice is all yours.
go for the winters!
All seasons... Unless you plan on buying new tires in the spring...
Definitely winters.Originally posted by 00CivicSi

All-seasons are for people who can't afford a vehicle.

Of course, a perfectly good explanation is boring, so the answer is, it's fucking voodoo.

In that case, I wouldn't even bother with winter tires man...I drove my civic with all seasons NO PROBLEM. Its a front wheel drive with like 130hp...you don't NEED winter tires at all. Rear-wheel drive is a different story.Originally posted by 00CivicSi

An extra set of tires and wheels will probably cost you around 700 to 1000 bucks depending on the size and brand. It's up to you to decide if it's worth the money to have more traction both in summer and winter by having two sets of tires.
In my opinion, a minor fender bender can easily cost you more than 1000 bucks. Plus, the usual no-season tires that come with the car are not designed for winter condition in Calgary.
and driving all seasons all year will wear faster than 2 set of tires each 1/2 the year.
winter tires in winter, summer tires in summer.....when possible.
My dd is a fwd super slow celica so I run all seasons all year cause its a beater.....my other cars though...winters in winter.
I love Kumhos
Hit up one of the sponsers for some studded KW-11's.
Then hit them up in the spring for some Kumho ASX's
GTS Jeff runs winter tires, and he's smarter than you.
But still, the choice is yours...
Cheap assholes.
