Gonna throw down a new top end, fork seals, front and rear wheel bearings, sprockets/chain and muffler repack on friday and hopefully be out on sat riding

I'd imagine ghost is still icy... but the track in town is open
Hmm change of plans, since friday is a holiday, if xtreme raceways near alix is open me and a bunch of buddies are gunna head up for the day.
Alix is a pretty fun track. Only been there once. Some big drops haha.
After a marathon repair session on thurs ( 4 bikes, 6pm till 4am) I went to Indian Graves on good friday, then Waiprous on Sat.
Conditions where great. In the shade there is still some ice, and lots of mud, but no need for spikes.
Lots of fun!
went to drumheller on sat! fun track for sure. some difficult sections, under shot a double and smashed real hard into the front face of the second part. FUck that hurt lol.. I'd suggest it for beginners despite the hard sections only because it's DEAD! there was the 6 of us and 3 other guys the entire day.
That sounds encouraging! I'd like to take a day and spend it on a track, but the few times I've been to blackfoot it hasn't been very fun.Originally posted by JfuckinC

Anyone know about the trails near drumheller?
Dammit, gotta get the bike together for this weekend
Seriously head out to drum for a track day, i know how blackfoot can be, its tough when its packed and you just keep on getting rousted and pushed to the outside. Me and my friends are all rookies to the track so that's why we headed to drum. The trails are just down the hill RIGHT at the south end of town. You'll see the track when you're on the trails. There is even a little mini track that you can start off on at drum.Originally posted by Abeo

Staging area for trails: http://maps.google.ca/maps?hl=en&ie=...18818&t=h&z=16
You just take a right off the highway coming down the hill there.
Three bikes wide in a truck with an 8" lift and 37's is a bitch to load on flat ground lol

So the staging area is the runaway truck lane? Am I seeing that right? I've always wondered where it was, I've looked for it when driving there but I haven't seen anything that looks like a staging area to me.Originally posted by JfuckinC

That is a full truck... how is the yammie strapped in?
Sorry no, its a little further south half way up the hill, i was thinking about it wrong. Here you can see someone parked where i saw a bunch of trucks last weekend.

The yammy had a strap on each bark buster going to the two front corners of the truck box. haha we had a good bunch, that truck had the kx250, CRF450R and YZ450F and the other truck had an '09 ktm 300sx i think, '09 crf250r with the dual exhaust and my buddys new last weekend '10 crf450R fuel injected.
Im gonna be rippin hard this summer

Anyone going out to mclean for the opening this weekend?
I plan to
I repacked my muffler, cleaned my carb and adjusted the float, resealed my airbox, and have a bunch of new plastic for the bike. I'm anxious to get out there, I don't think I'll get around to putting all the stuff on my bike I bought over the winter till later
Hopefully there won't be a foot of new snow like there was last May 1
What year CR you rocking?
2001
Last year of the normal (non electric) powervalves . First year of the shitty mikuni carbs
haha damn you. i love 2001's
by far the best year of CR's ever made.
Since this is a picture thread...
looks bad ass man. love the black rear and red front. i want my crf half white half black.. not just all black like now.
So sweet.
Anyone riding this weekend?
