Liger or Fantasticapotamus....which is better? Discuss.

Okay, I don't want to sound like a noob but one of my friends already has a unicorn and wanted to add to his stable next spring. What do you think he should get? Obviously alot of people pick one or the other....so here it is, how does one pick one or the other...which is a better choice?

I mean everyone knows the liger is wicked awseome and fast and stuff with lots of after-jungle support available but he's almost a 7th-level Paladin now and when he becomes one he can basically conjure his own Fantasticapotamus which will really cut down on future mods after the initial purchase.

Discuss the pros and cons of each one.
