Trico Homes

Has anyone heard or had any experiences with Trico homes?

Please post good or bad stories and how their build quality is.

I built w/ them 4 yrs ago, at that time, quality is okay but service was good. Another friend of mine built w/ them 2 yrs ago and his experience was horrible. Quality workmanship wasn't there at all. I think Trico is good for starter home when you go for bigger homes (2200+)I think they're not that good compared to other builders but again these days all builders in town have the same issue.

Anyone have any experience with Cidex?

Trico and Cidex are both building in the same area in Calgary but for a bigger home then Cidex was building it was still about 40k cheaper!

Trying to figure out why the price difference. Both with very simular upgrades as well...

Every builder has problems. It's about how they take care of them after. I've heard good and bad things about almost every builder out there. Each builder also has a different service rep for some sections of the city, so experiences will vary.

Built with Trico a couple years ago. There was a couple minor problems with plumbing under the kitchen sink (leaks). Fixed within 24 hours of reporting. No problems since.

Who the hell is Cidex ... are they new? Never heard of them. I have friends that have built with Trico Homes in three different communities and they are all totallu happy with the product and the service ... they are a great builder and one thats been around for a long time.

I never built with Trico cause I think some of their finishings and such are cheaper looking. Cidex is not too big on advertising but they are the guys who built those 3 condo towers across from westbrook mall.

i have friends who own in those towers from westbrook mall, and those buildings are loaded with constant problems, shit ass quality if you ask me.

I own one and have not had any problems.
