Correct order to get car insured for OOP (Leased)

I am moving to Alberta from BC and am just trying figure everything out.

I have gotten to the part of my car, and am not sure what I need to do VERY first.

This is what I think is the correct order, let me know if it is wrong


1.) OOPI
2.) Get ownership changed with Lease Company
3.) Get insurance (already secured, thanks masked bandit)
4.) Get plate and registration


also how many days do I have between doing all this, I mean the OOPI can only be good for a certain amount of time, and once I change ownership my insurance and BC plates wouldnt be good anymore would they?

you have to get plated with in 14 days of your inspection. If you already have insurance, then your good to go.

I dont have the insurance YET. I have talked to him and already know it is all worked out and what it will cost.

I just know to get the insurance i need an OOPI and the ownership changed to AB, to get registration I need insurance.

Just wanted to see if I was missing a connection
