Alarm Remotes

If I lost my alarm remote can I buy some sort of generic one and program it to my alarm or am I shit out of luck?

I'm pretty sure you need to use the same remote. I tried using a remote from my paging system on my new alarm, but there was no way for the installer to program the remote for the alarm.

You can find cheap remotes on ebay, or if you need it quickly, most authorized sellers will provide you with a remote for a fee.

Yea u will need the same remote, as the freq. and the brain are standard. Like weapon_r said, some company may replace your remote, either free or w/ a fee.
