you use the brush??...and you say you are picky about your car??

I think The Works from Petro Canada does a better job then some of these places. They can be hit or miss.
War is Peace. Freedom is Slavery. Ignorance is Strength.
The brush will only ever touch the wheels if it's summer time after I've rinsed it off beforehand.Originally posted by EK 2.0

I usually bring a microfiber wash mitt with me to the wand wash. I spend $3 on the s2k in the summer for a complete job and I spend $5 on the Legacy in the winter for a halfassed job.
I had the same experience on NYE. I had just detailed the interior of my car a week earlier, so it was still pristine. I took it there for a quick wash since I didn't have time, simply to try it out. There was soap all over the inside of the driver's window, and some on the others as well. For some reason, when it was pulled up to dry, I saw a guy kneel on the driver's seat, and reach across to the passenger's seat to do something (not sure what), but in the meantime, dripped soap everywhere. There was soap even on the inside of the left B pillar. Before I drove off I started to wipe things clean myself, and one of the owners was working at the end of the line, and asked what the issue was. I told him, and he didn't seem to care. I asked for him to clean the window, so he wiped it with a wet cloth, and left it like that.. ?? THEN, he tries to sell me on an interior detail!
From everything else others have said, I think it's only on that $18 wash that you get the issues.. unless we're just really picky?
No offense, but what did you expect from an express detail company?
They charge out the ass for a quick job.
The time spent in the shop often reflects the quality of job that is given.
Can't complain though, Bubbles charges upwards of $50 for their washes, and I could still do a better job spending $4 at a hand wash.

And your suit would be wet.

We just started a new automotive website (www.myautocafe.com <--- not sure if that's okay here or not), but since we started up about 3 months ago we have got nothing but bad reports about these people... daily.
Since I don't live in AB can you tell me if this company is big? small? has it been around a long time?
It must be a pain for them to google their company name and come back with negative comments all over the place... but then again, if the reports are accurate I guess that's what the internet is about eh?
I'm wondering if the ownership has changed since the OP. I took our suburban in there the other day and couldn't believe what a good job they did. And it's gone up to $26 for an exterior wash. But I have no problems paying that. I've dropped up to $10 at those "brushless" washes and, no surprise, they're useless.Originally posted by HRD2PLZ
I took my car there a couple months ago and was fairly impressed with it. I recently tired Bubbles with the RX and it came out mostly clean... The inside of the mirrors were still dirty and they didn't do a fantastic job in the inside. Overall Bubbles did and alright job but I would try Clearwater again over Bubbles.
At those places though, I never get an exterior only wash. I always get them to do the inside and the outside.
For $26, I can relax for 15 minutes and have a coffee and get my car as clean as I would do it, but it would take me a good 1/2 hour, if not longer.
I'm going to try their full detail package and see how that goes. Full detail inside and out, shampoo etc for $150, I think it is.
^ what actually has changed owners is Fortune Car Wash on Macleod. It's now a Bubbles.
i can wash my car spotless with $2. do it everytime and yes it is clean i wash my wheel wells my underpanel and my wheels as well.
u gotta be a cleaning pro to be able to do it with $2.

Where do you go to get it done for two bucks? I use 1 dollar to rinse the car, 1 to scrub it with the brush and soap ( ) and another dollar to rinse the soap off and I dont see how I could skip one of those steps.
I don't often go to the wand washes. Only in a pinch. If I do, I never use the brush because I don't want to scratch the paint on my car. Normally I take my car to Refine Auto Salon for their Bronze detail package. My car gets a great detail for just over $100. I have that done every other month and inbetween times it is easy for me to keep it clean and maintain the new look.
I had my car detail...my gut told me to leave...should of listen...had an exterior wash/wax....I ended up with two deep scratches (which need painting, can't be polish out)...got the manager...told me NO WAY HIS WASH DID THIS...TOLD ME TO LEAVE!
X2 beat me to it.Originally posted by EK 2.0

$0 - microfibre wash mitt all over the car
$1 - rinse
Don't you feel like a tool when you brag about being a "cleaning pro?"
The carwash by Centex on Centre Street and 25 Ave (?) is pretty good for a quick wash. Spot-free rinse FTW!!!
