Really, I just saw a bunch of cop cars in the area. There was a policewoman in the unmarked car that I jaywalked right infront of (fortunately it was Stephen Ave., so I guess it technically isn't "jaywalking" during daylight hours). She was so preoccupied with whatever she was doing, she totally missed a blantly obvious drug deal going down on the S.E. corner of 1st and 8th ave S.W.

Oh wait, I walked by there around 12:30pm, so I guess I just missed everything.

If you ever see a white cube van that say's "Rock Your World Landscaping" I would vacate the area.

Apparently when the TAC team is about to do a raid in an area and they don't want their presence known they assemble in that vehicle.

i've seen those guys, the driver usually wears plaid and looks dirty (guessing for effect), but the guys in the back are huge, i wouldn't want to mess with them or be in the way of their business.

i was on the centre st bridge, you know the one underneath the actual bridge where you can get on memorial from? as i going towards memorial on this two laned bridge and im stopped at the light. the other lane or opposing traffic for yall that dont know. i see this purple civic speed up from behind me on the other lane, he almost hit an oncoming vehicle, swerved and went west on memorial...not even 5 seconds later...an unmarked police car (blakc on black) came chasing it with no lights on or nothing....they posted up on the hill and went west after the civic...i was like wttffff!!!!

Further to the press release of 2008 January 8 in regards to

John Abraham Young:

On January 09, 2008 at approximately 12:45am, John Abraham
Young was arrested after a brief police pursuit involving
Calgary Police and the HAWC 2 helicopter. The vehicle in
which Young was driving was stolen from the community of
Renfrew a day prior. Young attempted to evade police in the
stolen vehicle by driving in a manner that placed the public
at considerable risk and danger.

Young's comeuppance came when he drove over a steep unpaved
embankment damaging the vehicle which he abandoned a short
time later. Responding to the area, police officers
apprehended Young after a brief footchase in the 100 block of
3 Ave SW. Young faces numerous vehicle, driving and theft
related charges.

Were you the guys who then responded to the ruckus outside Tower Centre later that afternoon? I saw a unit with front end damage out front when it was going on. Looked like an assault on an officer?
