    Default FS: High-end Kenwood CD/receiver

Kenwoood eXcelon KDC-PS709 with credit-card remote. $275 obo.

I bought this new. I still have the box, keys, faceplate case, manual, and the "Faceplate Passport" should a replacement ever be necessary.

    Detachable flip face with case
    40w x 4
Dual 4 volt pre-outs (can be set to non-fading, ie sub-out)
HP/LP crossovers front and rear (adjustable)
    Dual illumination
    CD changer control
    CD text
    Can read CD-Rs
    Manufacture date - Jan 1999

    Specs http://www.kenwoodusa.com/product/pr...p?productId=40
    Manual ftp://docs.kenwoodusa.com/manuals/OM...-1997-KUSA.pdf

This is an amazing deck. One of the best sounding I have ever heard. It does pretty much everything except play MP3s. That's why I've replaced it.

Oh really? Where was the part in my post where I asked for your opinion? Did you notice the "obo" part. That means or best offer.

This deck was well over $500 new, plus $50 for the remote. I still have the receipts somewhere. Comparable decks today are selling for over $400.

Anything with 4 volt pre-outs, adjustable ft/rr crossovers, higher power, a remote, and good sound quality.

This one only has 2 volt pre-outs, but does have a parametric EQ.
    Kenwood KDC-X469

    Alpine CDA-7892

    2 volt pre-outs, but para-EQ.
    Pioneer DEH-P6500
    Premier DEH-P650

    No crossovers.
    Panasonic CQ-DF903

No crossovers, and it's a JVC.
    JVC KD-LX300

    Should I go on?...

How does the market work these days? Half of new, as long as it's still cheaper than comparable newly available units, and a way better product than similarly priced new ones? That's what I've done (actually, I've priced it even cheaper than that).

Like I said, obo. Come try me. Trolls need not apply.
