    Default Oil pan leak

    Can i fix this by putting a piece of metal over the crack and jb welding it? or do i need a whole new one? thanks

    DONT WELD SHIT!!

    get a new one, check around pick your part or bucks auto parts, they should be able to help, last time,at bucks i saw 89 crx with the engine still in it!!but i never checked the oil pan if it was still there..

    you sure it's the oilpan itself and not the gasket?

    if he needs to cover the whole and weld it then i'm guessing it's obvious

    glue??, just get silicone from like canadian tire or som place
    1) take out oil pan
    2) with a razor scraper or exacto knife, remove all the old gasket or silicone
    3) apply silicone all around, dont miss any spot, then bolt on tightly

    i dont think its that easy to find, and its a crack in the actual piece, probably from bottoming out

    just look around , if u cant find it then go to Auto Value, they are always cheaper the most places

    i looked underneath today, looks like the leak is coming from the drain bolt. Its tightened all the way though, what can i do?

    Get a new bolt, or buy a rubber washer and replace the old one.

    Or just dont drive at 200km/h+ for an hour strait!...maybe that will work! ....j/k
