Default "mega mass" kind of drinks? What tastes good?

I'm stuck at 170, want to gain ~10 more pounds. Decided my diet is the problem. Don't have time to cook and eat three steaks per day. Want to get one of those mega mass drinks that have 700+ calories per serving, 50+ grams protein, and so on. Which ones taste good? I am probably going to head into Popeye's tonight to pick something up.

how much of an issue is cash?

Muscle Milk always seems to come up when this is discussed. I've never tried it myself but others seem to rave about it

My friend is about your size and he's really liking the Ultimate Nutrition Muscle Juice. He got Banana and apparently the chocolate tastes pretty good too (according to juice monkey at popeyes)

    Nutrition Information
    Per 4 Scoops: 250 Grams

    Amount Per Serving
    Energy 990 Cal
    4412 kJ

    Protein 55 g
    Fat 18 g
    Carbohydrates 152 g

That and you can never really go wrong with BNS. Their Syntha 6 protein is amazing so I could only guess that the True Mass would be a good blend.

Shoot me a text when you plan on heading to popeyes. My buddy Matt works at the one on Banff Trail and he's super helpful with any questions and he's tried basically everything in the store.

Which guy is Matt? Banff Trail location, that is the one right by McMahon? I usually go to that one.. the guys there are great.

That Ultimate Nutrition sounds perfect, I figure if I drink three of those per day, plus noxplod & cellmass, I could hit 180 no problem and then it'd be cuttin time

    Yeah the one by McMahon.

He's a shorter but pretty fricken big white guy. Super nice guy. Jeez you really wanna put on the weight hahah.

If you want a good inexpensive protein on top of that stuff you can get the BioX. Tastes great and is fairly inexpensive.

you should start making your own shakes. Just throw in some whey, fruit, oats, and milk in a blender and you've got a tasty ass shake. Its way cheaper, and that's how I packed on almost 20lbs a couple years ago having one of those every couple days. You can mix it up with some natural peanut butter, nuts, or some different fruit and it'll still be pretty tasty.

^^ True dat, but I think some of these gainers have creatine and glutamine in them as well.

I guess you could just get creatine mono-hydrate powder.

That's what I do right now and it works great first thing in the morning but no blender at work or school, so I was going to mix these up and sip on them over the course of the rest of the day so I can finally hit my weight goal.

    Oh...
The ultimate nutrition almost needs a blender it's so thick. Just a heads up!

    yeah pretty much
I started six months ago with a goal of 180 and got more than halfway there, now I want to get the rest of the way. I figure 180 is a pretty serious weight where I'll still be in proportion. I suppose I have body image problems.

There's another guy at the McMahon stadium one, Russ. Really nice guy and know his stuff as well.

I also used Muscle Juice... worked pretty good for me. Unless you like things really sweet, stay away from strawberry.

Yup, take kerry's word on this.

You could split it up into 2 drinks(2 scoops each) instead

I couldn't even shake it up? Is there such a thing as portable blender?

Yeah b_t this stuff gets super thick. The other option would be to mix it with either half skim milk, half water or all water. Even those really good shaker cups with the "cutters" on the top have a hard time mixing this stuff.

The best way I found was milk, water and then powder on top one scoop at a time. That's what I suggested to my buddy and he said it works OKAY. You have to shake the absolute shit out of this stuff but on the bright side you'll be able to skip your bicep workout!

    EDIT:

    Buy one of these!

    Dude,

How much are you eating right now? I don't think you need weight gainers yet per say, just an adjustment in diet.

    You use fitday?

Nope don't use fitday. I eat basically as much as I can manage with the time I have. Its not like I am going to replace meals with this stuff - it is a supplement to drink between breakfast and lunch at work and possibly after supper, while I'm in class.

I hover right around 2,400 calories a day as it sits, just enough to maintain a weight between 168-171 or so and holding steady for three months now.

    Ahh, I thought so

I was maintaining @3300 cals a day. You should try to hammer 4k cals with 350G protein. You'll grow. I guarantee it.

You don't have to cook 3 steaks a day to gain weight.

Eat 6 times a day. It's not hard really. Planning is key.
