They should have dropped the premium models to $399 if they are serious about catching up to the Wii. Microsoft has had enough time to reduce manufacturing costs.

I don't think the 360 will ever be positioned to compete with the Wii.. It's all about the PS3 and this definitely blows away PS3 pricing.. I can only hope that Sony will follow suite and drop the price of the PS3..

Also, Arcade version would compete with Wii if anything.. Wii does not have a HDD.

i would certainly buy an external BD if it came for 360, i was considering buying a ps3 just for that purpose, but if i can adapt something i've already got, even better.

The price is only $10 difference, if they were after the same market as the Wii, they'd certainly be competitive.
