any suggestion for painting brake calipers?
should i repaint them seafoam green?
looking like a really clean build man.... keep it up
Must be hit or miss.. Garcon has had a bunch of problems with his exhaust work from lange... of course he fixed it all though. I thinkOriginally posted by sr20s14zenki
If you want a good manifold, locally, that will have warranty on it for worksmanship, talk to Jason Lange, his manifold will prolly cost you the same or less as a full race, and his quality is second to none. The equal length tubular he made for our sr20 completely changed the sound/behavior of the car. Very nice (=

I would keep the calipers green or do some kind of blue.
2006 STI-Under reconstruction
dont forget to add some stickers for some extra HP...and aerodynamics!!
looks good man, you bought the calipers like that? i would paint them black and thats the farthest i'd go.
p.s: watch out with those mushroom filters, been known to head on straight thru past the compressor blades, seen it first hand on a fairlady. would suggest otherwise (wired filters, K&N AEM ect) but i guess i'm talking from experience.
ever get that fuel pump done?
nope the hesistation wasnt actually from the pump failing, the stupid second years at my school did gap my spark plugs properly and that was causing it.Originally posted by n1zm0

who cares if you run 12s, set your car up for drift and go to the other side of the track.
drifting > drag
driving skills > straight line
And dont go top mount, keep your new manifold and go gt2871 rs, have 350whp and do a safe tune like that.
If you want 12s, get a v8
calipers=black. then lay down a piece of sandpaper on a flat surface and rub the caliper across it to make the nissan stand out in silver metal. I can help you sunday if you want.
You are going to notice a huge improvement over your stock brakes. Z32 calipers was the best modification i have done to my Silvia yet.
12.5 has been done in Calgary with a smaller GT28RS @ 14psi on pump gas with full interior.Originally posted by pulse_crx

Guy only makes about 300whp.
You need soft suspension though, and MADD LAUNCHING SKILLZ!

Good start on your ride.
You got a clean S13 as a base which is always a plus, and your choices in mods are well placed and spent.
Try the Z32 rear brake conversion too with the Master Cylinder and prop valve. Your car won't dive so much and it'll be much easier to modulate with without locking up the front. The MC will get pedal from getting mushy.
As far as repainting, try powder coating. They'll last for years and look BALLA! You'll need to rebuild the caliper afterwards, but at the age that it is, it's definitely a good idea anyway.

i would like to try powder coating, but i dont really have time, we have access to a sand blaster, but i dunno how long it would take to get them painted. If i paint the black properly they should last for a few years, than i will powder coat them.
i want to get a top mount, and get a big fricken turbo and get it powdercoated like godzilla or something haha
anyone have any suggestions on rim choices and colors
im thinking like black or bronze or something. and in 17's or 18's.
