It may take awhile to show up on the list. The list is updated only after you complete a work unit. On some PCs that may take up to 2 - 3 days depending on how long it gets to run.

Apparently the cell processor of the PS3 is especially suited to performing the calculations for this project, so don't be surprised if the PS3's are beating the people with quadcores.

Does anybody know whether this will run when not logged on? We have to leave our computers on 24/7 at the office, but have to sign off and restart at the end of the day.

Looks like you are on there now. Really weird about the quadcore machine though.

I have it running on 4 machines and so far it looks like only the results from the PS3 are showing up.

it;'s because some "work units" have more or less frames, i did one at home, it had 50 frames, doing one at work, it has 1500 frames.

Yeah, nevermind, it looks like it based it on CPU power "guestimation" Once I gave the program it's full reign on the CPU, it should be done in the next few hours, haha.

the ones with 50 frames take 30 minutes a frame on my computer and the one with 1500 takes 3 minutes a frame so its not like the 1500 frame one is going to take ages longer.

if you have more than one system, i think you have to name the differently or they will not show.

Nope, you don't. They'll show all as the same user. Hence the biggest contributor being named "PS3"

i got 2 servers, 2 desktops that i will donate to this in off peak hours. not gonna bring in my 2 laptops tho.
