question of the day....what happens if a company doesn't have wcb/doesn't pay wcb, and an employee hurts themselves?

No experience in this, but I'm guessing the employee would have to sue the employer over medical costs, lost wages, etc.

False. Companies pay WCB premiums based on earnings and rates applicable to the type of work they do (for example, steel erectors pay a much higher premium than floral arrangers).Originally posted by sr20s14zenki

I'm too lazy to look through the whole thing, but this should have the info you want WCB
I do remember being told that if our subcontractors didn't pay their premiums, we as the general contractor might be liable for said premiums before the holdback is released on the project. So it sounds to me like it's a MSP kind of deal: if you haven't paid, you'll be liable to make up some of the premium payments, although in this case the "you" is the employer.
