I remember going to Montreal for work once. One hella fun city. I had some good times at "Peel Pub". Like Peel as in Peel Street - not Peelers, mind you they had Jello Wrestling on Monday nights which was outstanding.

Go to Downtown or Chez Paris. Both decent strip joints. Lots of bad ones. Lots of stuff to see and don on St. Catherines st. Have fun its crazy there. Bring lots of money. It isn't cheap there

Be prepared for a lineup though, but well worth the wait. Don't forget to try some poutine as well.

I remember my buddy taking me to some breakfast joint, where the girls serve you in bras and panties/ lingerie. And they serve cheap pitchers for breakfast! I'll see if I can find the name.. It was just some hole in the wall place, off the beaten path..

Schwartz's is awesome. I was there about two weeks ago. Had two smoked meat sandwiches (got the medium fat) and brought home 2.5lb of smoked meat home from there. Had the stewardess put it in the fridge on the plane...

Try to avoid going there during lunch time hours to save on waiting time. And ask the people in line which line they are in, "take-out" or "dine-in". The long line is usually the take-out line.

As for the stip clubs out there... I don't like them at all. Chez Paris, Wanda's and Super Sexe are all over priced... The bastards at Wanda's gouged us. $15 plus tip for a bottle of domestic beer and a normal orange juice (i.e. no alcohol) is ridiculous!!

And only one of the girls we saw was really hot... On the plus side, no one them had any bruises.

I prefer the strip clubs out west.

Montreal is one of my favourite cities to visit in Canada hands down.

I found this website helpful when I went there for the first time: http://www.tourisme-montreal.org/

I liked staying at the Hilton Bonaventure. Amazing service. In the middle of the core, so great access to all of those places.

You have to get the smoked meat, a pickle and a cherry coke. So damn good together. You'll be in smoked meat heaven.

When I went 2 months ago, I really enjoyed St. Laurant - that's the street that Schwartz's is on. There's lots of clubs, restaurants and pubs there. And there's good shopping. The best poutine I had was at La Banquise. It's 24 hours there and the poutines are huge! St. Denis is also a good street with lots of pubs. And Mont Royal ave is good for shopping. I definitely want to go back one day, especially during the summer.

Don't forget rue St Denis. Not far from Ste Catherine and lot's of good shopping to be done on that street as well.

    My two suggestions:

Dine - O Noir - you are served by visually impaired wait staff in the complete dark. Its unreal (www.onoir.com) - make renovations

Shop - Simons Department store (www.simons.ca) - amazing store carrying everything from billabong/hurley/quiksilver/volcom to gucci/prada/etc And their own store brand is awesome too.
