Not doing this type of work anymore ET?
I guess I can let the cat out of the bag now.
My wife and I have decided that we will be moving back to Quebec permanently in the next 2-3 months.
In preparation for the move, I have elected to stop working on cars so I can concentrate on doing boxes, finding employment there and getting my car ready for the drive back.
The goal with these projects was to get my name out there in order to eventually open a performance oriented shop in town.
I have enjoyed getting to know a lot of members on here through all these projects and appreciate all the kind words that have been sent my way.
It was getting to the point that I had to turn quite a few people away as it was just getting too busy.
I'm just going to throw the idea out there but would anyone be interested in a meet before I go, so I could see some familiar faces again and maybe we could get a few cool cars to show up.
I wish everyone on Beyond the very best and thank you for making it possible for me to do something I very much enjoy.
Oh man thats messed up. I always admired your hard work, and the fact that you did things right.
It really sucks that you gotta move, but you gotta do what you gotta do.
Why haven't you thought of opening a shop in Calgary?
Everyone here already knows who you are and how skilled you really are. No need to make a name here lol. You pretty much spent all this time making it here.
I have but the timing wasn't right with this economy. In my eyes, the city has also changed quite a bit in the last few years and I miss home so this feels like the right move for us at the moment.
Who knows I may be back later on in life.
Oh, you'll be back... they always come back lolOriginally posted by Mr_ET

I thought it was Ontario you were heading back too... where abouts in Quebec are you headed?
Are you driving your solosprint car to Quebec? Will it be legal there lol?
hope all goes well and smooth on the 4000+km journey

Yeah man. I think lots of people have thought of the shop idea but once you get into it a bit, you realize how hard it would be to make good money with one in a place like Calgary.Originally posted by Mr_ET

On the other hand Quebec has a much better car culture, maybe you could open one there?
Sorry to hear you are moving, good luck in the future and I would come to a meet if you end up having one.

Moving to Quebec City, that's where I'm from. I still have all my highschool and university friends there as well as both our families.
The civic will be getting driven back on the new engine so there is much to be done in the next month or so, expect updates

I would like to work for a performance division of a dealership there so I can do what I love and don't need to worry about the risks of it as much.
If you or anyone has some contacts there, I'd appreciate it
Yeah I remember man, good to here the old mule keeps on churning. There are other very competent Honda people on Beyond that will be able to help you when the time comes.Originally posted by reese

I am also more than willing to answer questions and still help folks even though I won't live here anymore. I don't plan to leave Beyond.

I will miss all of you guys and racing around the province! I plan to keep racing around Quebec, Ontario and Vermont if the budget will allow it.
I didn't build a brand new engine for nothing!
Hope you found a way to make it up to the wife during the off season
I remember our long chat...
Sad to lose you locally, but I'm happy you and your family are hopefully going to greener pastures. All the best, I'd like to come to the meet and shake your hand, I'll watch the forums.
Losing a great guy, and a Honda guy at that.
thx for the kind words Chris!
How does a meet around the 3rd or 4th week of April look for everyone?
I might need some help to put this all together. Paging EK2.0 and CivicDXR?
All the best with the move.
WHAT!?
Who I am going to get to do my J series swap?!

Corey, get it towed to Quebec I'll do it
And when I finally get a car you wouldn't of minded working on.
Best of luck out that way. We'll keep in touch for sure I won't be too far off from ya once I move. I'll be more than willing to do the drive up to get my car looked after by you once I move to New Brunswick hehe.
How close are you to leaving now?
It all depends when the house sells. We have a 60 day negociable possession date on it but for the right price we will leave sooner.
I would say another 2-3 months max. I'll throw my new cell number your way when I get that switched over
Damn man sad to see you heading out. Ill be down for the meet. Hopefully ill have my car ready so you can take it for a spin. All the best man
Sounds good Punit, bring Prashant and Scott with you :P
