timing belt im assuming? I took mine to toyota once when i was young and had my 5sfe. i think it cost me about 700. I might have other work done like my water pump at the same time. But im pretty sure 700 is right. Try one of the sponsors or one of the owners on the board

    Riming belt?

Any toyota shop can perform a good rim job for you at a resonable price.

yah toyota will do it, labor rates are savagely high though and its fairly time consuming.
Looking for a new VW? How about a used vehicle? We are Central Albertas #1 source for pre-owned vehicles
I will beat any deal on a new VW for beyonders

Didn't they quote somebody $1400 a while back on these boards?

I would consider $600 a very good deal for the amount of work involved but I can't imagine them actually doing it for that price. My guess is the price will be higher when it is finished.

I agree. $600 is too cheap for the amount of work involved especially with how much dealers charge for labour. It's a great deal though if they stick to it.

    red99600 .. ask him
You can technically get a ticket for each window that's illegally tinted. So as above, if you're being an ass to the officer (or if he's just an ass to begin with), he can give you two. (or three tickets if you're dumb enough to tint the windshield of your BMW... but if you own a BMW you can't be stupid right?)

In Edmonton, I got mine done for $1000. It wasn't a dealer but a Toyota specialist called, Wilsons Auto Tech.

Well I needed to replace the water pump and they did the belt for free + cost of belt.

Timing belt with the engine out is easy, peasy, lemon squeezy. Compared to the engine in.

I'd say around $1000 for the labor intensive job, working around those tight areas.

On my old engine, I went to do mine and then just ended up taking the whole engine out, just for fun. That was my first engine drop.... oh the memories.

last august i had timing belt and water pump replaced at a place called AR Auto. He quoted me for 7 hours of work but spent closer to 12 on it. I think i paid just under 900.
