Isn't that going a little over the top? Most sponsors get a spot in the marketplace, and are allowed to say whatever they want in the forums.. But now you paste a sticker on the forums, and then give them their own sub forum???

Jordan has been on beyond for many years and has always offered great services to the members of beyond. He just became a paid sponser and im sure its a perk for what he has paid for.

Just to clarify, I don't care about the way it is now.. Just the first image I posted I thought was kind of weird, that he was

Jordan has stepped up and sponsored the Real Estate / Finance section. As a perk, we added the Maxwell Realty subsection under this forum. We feel this provides greater value to Jordan than a section under the marketplace.

This will also make it easier for our users to contact Jordan for any real estate advice, or to have him answer any questions.

So to answer your original question, no I don't feel it is over the top.

I think people are overreacting. Beyond is a business, and in order to remain sustainable (and significantly ad free) sponsors like Jordan are required.

I think that Jordan's presence here on the board is a very solid one, and I really do hope that beyonders realize that as long as this site remains free and relatively ad free that supporting its sponsors remain the only way for that trend to continue.

Besides, it's great to have a realtor that you can go to on the boards if you have questions or are looking for someone reputable and reliable to purchase/sell a home with. This way we are able to eliminate the quasi-reliable realtors that seem to enjoy coming on here and spamming the board with their presence. Now we have a solid, reputable, and honest realtor with a definite presence here. I see this as more of an asset than anything else.

Kind of a bold statement, no pun intended lol. Beyond members have now been subject to basically 1 option on the forum for real estate. Before, beyonders could choose what suited them best. Im not arguing with him being a sponsor. He paid to play before any of us could pull the trigger however completely taking over the real estate section, having his own sub section and being the only one with a logo next to the thread topic seems a little overboard.
Anyways, just a oppinion. You guys (mods and rage) run the site and will continue to do so the way you feel benefits you.
