    After we all file for taxes every year, whats the most amount of $ you have had to pay the government in one year for taxes?

    CRA gave me a notice of assessment to pay an additional $40k last year.
    They were in error though. I actually got a small refund.

    pretty dumb question - the amount of taxes you pay is dependent on how creative you are with your accounting...
